Featured Supplier – Leah Spicer of Golden Apple Designs
Today I am SO delighted to introduce our first ‘Featured Supplier Interview’ from the AMAZING Leah Spicer of Golden Apple Designs
We have had the privilege of working with Leah recently and we have her to thank for our gorgeous new logo and newly designed site too. It was a last minute decision to give the site a spruce up before launch (you will soon learn that I can pretty impulsive lol!) and when I contacted Leah about helping us with this project I knew straight away that we would end up with something fandabidozi!!
I sent Leah our ideas on the Friday and we she sent over 7 designs for us to choose from on the Monday afternoon (She’s lightening!!) and the only trouble this lovely lady gave us was the fact that all the designs she sent were so blooming fabulous that it took us AGES to decide which one we wanted to go with!!
The best thing though is that Leah’s talents don’t stop at logo/web design as she also creates some fab wedding stationery too and has very kindly taken some time out to tell us a bit more about her company Golden Apple Designs….

What inspired you to start your business?
I started the business as I wanted to combine my two passions – weddings & design and wedding stationery was the perfect solution! I then branched out to use my previous experience to help other wedding business with their branding and websites.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I love everything about my job – it’s so rewarding and I meet so many really lovely people on a daily basis! I also love how varied it is – one day I can be making some wedding invitations, the next designing a new logo for an exciting new business or creating an illustration for a bespoke print. I also run a Wedding networking club in Leicester, which is so much fun to plan and attend!
What has been the best moment of your business?
That’s a really hard one, as there have been some really great moments, and they all vary depending on the project! I think my biggest achievement so far would be getting this far – to be doing this full time is a dream come true!
What are your business plans for the future?
Eventually I would love to have a pretty little studio at some point, so that customers can come and visit for a cup of tea!
Can you give us a ‘Typical day in the life of….’?
As I’m always doing something different there isn’t really a ‘typical’ day but generally I will stumble out of bed at around 7am and the first thing I have to do is take my puppy straight out for a walk to avoid any accidents! Then whilst I drink my coffee I’ll spend an hour or so browsing through wedding blogs and twitter, before going on to reply to my emails and get down to work!
Well Leah, when you do get that ‘pretty little studio’ please let me know as me and Terri will be the first ones up for a cup of tea (well water for me – can’t do hot drinks although I am trying to train myself!!)
